About Me
My Story
Hello everyone,
I am Shelly, mother of two, and owner of Slides on Point. It is a pleasure to meet you. Although the name Slides on Point has been introduced publicly in 2023, I have created slideshows for events for over 20 years.
I have several years of experience as a business owner. I started as an event planner working mostly on weddings advertising mostly through word of mouth. In addition to planning a wedding, my company would be hired to decorate the wedding ceremony & reception venues, and create the floral design & programs.
My greatest pleasure was seeing the joy on the faces of my clients and their guest as the events came together beautifully. I stepped away from event planning and finish college for which I was blessed to earn two degrees with one being in business.
Creating slideshows for clients was to be added to the many services I would offer as an event planner. It is now my only passion and business focus.
Whether its baking cookies as a hobby or creating slideshows, I enjoy giving back and helping others. I still get pleasure in knowing that I have helped someone during one of the most important, happiest, or difficult times of their life.
Another way I get to help others is with partnering with the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. Breast Cancer has impacted the lives of people I care for and love deeply. For the years 2023 & 2024, 10% of the profit from each sale will be donated to the foundation.
